Scoville Heat Units (SHU):
50,000 – 100,000

The Sugar Rush White pepper is a white variant of the Sugar Rush Peach, a variety developed by Welsh pepper grower Chris Fowler. The heat level is noticeable but not overwhelming. Sugar Rush White peppers begin with a sweet, fruity flavor featuring notes of apricot, peach, and citrus, followed by a gentle burn comparable to a mild Habanero.

This appealing balance of bright citrus tang and medium heat makes Sugar Rush White an excellent choice for fresh salsas, hot sauces, and culinary use where flavor is just as important as spice. Compared to Sugar Rush Peach, Sugar Rush White peppers may show a slightly more textured surface, while maintaining a very similar heat level.

Sugar Rush White peppers average 50,000 to 100,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). This places them below the heat of a Habanero, yet hotter than Thai and Pequin peppers.

The peppers typically grow to about three inches in length,  starting out green and maturing to a creamy white or pale ivory color. While the plants themselves are fast growing, the pods take longer than many varieties to reach full maturity and their final coloration. Other members of the Sugar Rush family, such as Sugar Rush Stripey, share a comparable heat level and fruity flavor profile.
