About Us

Tyler Farms is a small farm that utilizes all-natural farming techniques to grow and harvest pepper seeds and tropical fruit seeds. In addition to seeds, we also ship live plants from our farm to your doorstep! We always accept pre-orders for plants that are currently not available. Headquartered in Southern California, we grow all of our pepper plants in isolation, harvest the peppers during our long California growing season, and hand-select seeds to ensure the highest quality product. All of our seeds are harvested at their peak of freshness and are thoroughly washed and ready to be planted at any time. Our live plants are grown in reusable 3 inch plastic pots and approximately 4 to 6 inches when shipped.

In 2016, we expanded our seed offerings beyond peppers and started a tropical fruit farm. Our farm benefits from our subtropical climate and fertile soil, which helps us grow luscious fresh tropical fruit with quality seeds. The warm sunny days and cool nights help create the ideal growing conditions that help produce some of the finest tropical fruit seeds in the world. We currently carry the following tropical fruit seeds: Key Lime, Meyer Lemon, Pink Eureka LemonBlood Orange, Mango, Kiwano Horned Melon, Dragon Fruit (Pitaya), Cherimoya, Hass Avocado, and Papaya, with additional tropical fruit seeds debuting soon! Our tropical fruit seeds combined with our pepper seeds provide growers with a unique experience: paradise and a little spice!

Our Mission

At Tyler Farms, our mission is to provide home gardeners and large scale growers with a wide range of naturally grown pepper plants, pepper seeds, tropical fruit trees, and tropical fruit seeds, including rare and exotic varieties. Our unique pepper collection caters to all taste preferences, including those who prefer sweet peppers,  super-hot peppers, or anything in between.

All Natural, non-GMO Plants and Seeds

At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers like worm castings and fish emulsion. Through our sustainable agricultural practices, we are committed to providing growers with naturally grown live plants and seeds. This commitment reflects our concern for the quality and health of our environment. All of our seeds are both all natural and non-GMO. While scientific research suggests that naturally grown produce may be more nutritious, we prefer using all-natural growing techniques because it helps us keep chemicals out of our bodies and protects our environment. Growing all naturally isn’t a trend, it’s a return to tradition.

Our Soil

Healthy soils are rich in organic matter and "alive" with microorganisms, which break down nutrients to make them available to plants. We combine our native soil with composted material, including fruit and vegetable scraps, to create a nutrient rich soil that allows our plants to flourish. We also use all natural fish emulsion and mycorrhizae to enhance our soil structure.

Biological Pest Control

By building up populations of beneficial insects, we can combat harmful pests. These beneficial insects, including ladybugs, help us by eating adult pests and eating pest eggs. Ladybug colonies are frequently spotted at Tyler Farms along with other beneficial insects that work as our biological pest controllers.

In addition to providing seeds to home gardeners, we also supply seeds and live plants to hot sauce companies and restaurants that grow their own produce. Meals that include jalapenos, ghost peppers, or other exotic peppers are more popular than ever. The recent surge in spicy fast food items, spicy chips, and spicy craft beers is a result of the nation’s growing love of spicy foods. America’s fast-growing obsession with fiery food has carried over into the condiment industry. The hot sauce market in the United States has grown over 150% in the last 15 years. We also teamed up with the San Diego Padres to provide them with several Peter pepper plants for both the Padres bullpen and the visitor's bullpen.
