Scoville Heat Units:
250,000 - 500,000

Developed by Jason Schwarz of Toadstool Gardens, the Orange Ripple pepper is a cross between the Orange Habanero, Yellow Scotch Bonnet, and Carolina Reaper. The heat level of the Orange Ripple is typically about 250,000 to 500,000 Scoville Heat Units, but some of the peppers can exceed that range. It is a stunning pepper that has the Carolina Reaper tail but doesn't have the intense heat of the Carolina Reaper. It is slightly hotter than Scotch Bonnets and Habaneros and can be used in similar recipes, such as on nachos, hot sauces, and salsas because it has a very similar flavor profile.

These things are wicked! I got some with these crazy long tails. Great tasting pepper and very good looking pepper. Highly recommend.

    Tasty pepper

I tried these last year for a 'hot pepper challenge' and was surprised how good the flavor is. I thought the heat would blow my socks off but it actually wasn't that bad. They kinda look like reapers but they're definitely not nearly as hot.

    Good seeds and service

Seeds have been received, planted, and have already started germinating. Based on these pics, these look like a great phenotype. Looking forward to growing it.

    Pumped about my seeds

Posted by Ben Dimendola on 17th Dec 2022

These seeds arrived along with several others I ordered. I'm really excited about these. I mean look at the pictures of these beasts. I love that they aren't superhot but have good habanero level heat. Like I said I received other seeds including some freebies but Im really happy to be growing these.

    Good so far

My seeds took a week or so to arrive after I ordered but hard to fault them when it was likely USPS's problem. I started these indoors earlier this month after they arrived and they seem to be doing well. Almost 100% germination. I'm happy to be growing these and happy with my purchase.
