The Malawi Piquante and Peachadew Pepper Seed Blend is seed pack combination of two delicious mild peppers. As the name indicates, this is a pack of seeds that contains both the Malawi Piquante and Peachadew. The seeds are not marked to indicate which color they are, so you will not know the color until your peppers ripen. The pack contains a total of 10+ seeds.
The Malawi Piquante pepper is very sweet with a slight kick of heat. The thick-walled peppers originated in South Africa and are extremely similar to the trademarked brand name of sweet peppers. The delicious flavor and thick flesh make the Malawi Piquante pepper ideal for pickling and stuffing with cream cheese, which is how this pepper gained notoriety in the culinary world. This family friendly pepper, which looks like a small cherry tomato, has a low heat level as it averages about 1,100 Scoville Heat Units. Malawi Piquante pepper plants grow very fast, are highly productive, and can get over 4 feet tall.
Created by legendary pepper grower Chris Folwer, the Peachadew (also known as Peppapeach) is a round pepper that starts off green and ripens to peach. The round peppers have a very similar flavor profile and heat level as the Sugar Rush Peach. Although it is unknown if this is a natural mutation or an intentional cross, but the result is a delicious pepper with a low to medium heat level. It is very similar to the Malawi Piquante, but the Malawi Piquante ripens to red rather than peach. The delicious flavor and thick flesh make the Peachadew pepper ideal for pickling and stuffing with cream cheese. The Peachadew pepper averages about 1,000 Scoville Heat Units.
