One of the newer members of the 7 Pot family, the Gold 7 Pot is a superhot pepper with a fruity flavor. The taste and heat level of the Gold 7 Pot pepper is similar to other 7 Pot varieties, all of which have an extreme heat level and a tropical flavor. The pepper was created by crossing the Yellow 7 Pot and Gold Ghost pepper. Although the Gold 7 Pot hasn't officially been tested on the Scoville Scale, it is believed to average about 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). It looks very similar to the Mustard 7 Pot pepper, but it ripens to a vibrant golden color.
