Scoville Heat Units (SHU):
400,000 - 500,000

The Chocolate Devil’s Tongue pepper, also known as Brown Devil’s Tongue, has extreme heat and a fruity flavor, making it a popular choice for spicy salsas and hot sauces. The Chocolate Devil’s Tongue pepper, which is curvy and wrinkly, is slightly hotter than the Habanero pepper. Its appearance is somewhat similar to that of the Fatalii pepper. Thick walls set this pepper apart from its relatives as the Chocolate Devil’s Tongue pepper can be a great base for salsa or hot sauces. The thick walls also make the Chocolate Devil’s Tongue pepper a popular hot pepper for pickling.

The Devil’s Tongue pepper’s citrusy sweet and smoky flavor, combined with its rich color, make it a terrific pepper for those who enjoy extreme heat. Red Devil’s Tongue peppers are typically hotter and sweeter than the Yellow Devil’s Tongue pepper. The Chocolate Devil’s Tongue pepper has a slightly smoky flavor compared to the other Devil’s Tongue pepper varieties. The Devil’s Tongue pepper ranges from 125,000 to 325,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).

I just recently learned about the many unique health benefits of peppers. I just planted some hot peppers as well as super hot peppers from seeds that I bought from you. Thank you for the seeds. I look forward to sharing my growing progress with you as a begin my growing journey. Growing your own seeds is fun and it is the best way to get your own healthy produce. I wish more people would grow their own.
