As a more cold resistant cultivar, hardy to twenty-five degrees, the Bacon Avocado is also a popular variety in areas with lower winter temperatures and is said to be a good choice for growers in USDA hardiness zones nine and ten.
Even when they are not fruiting, Bacon Avocado trees are beautiful tropical trees. As with other tropical fruits, Bacon Avocado trees can be grown indoors, on balconies, patios, and limited-space gardens. Bacon are one of the hardiest avocado varieties available.
