The Yellow Moruglah was created by crossing the Yellow Trinidad Moruga Scorpion and the 7 Pot Douglah. The superhot peppers are large pods that start off green and ripen to yellow. They are loaded with both flavor and heat. A relative of the Yellow Moruglah, the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper, once held the record for the hottest pepper in the world. It remains one of the hottest peppers in the world, only surpassed by the Carolina Reaper, the current Guinness World Records holder.

The Yellow Moruglah has a much higher heat level compared to other yellow varieties, but it still has the delicious fruity, sweet flavor with hints of apricot. Although the Yellow Moruglah has not yet been tested on the Scoville Scale, it is likely similar to the Yellow Trinidad Moruga Scorpion which averages about 1,200,000 to 2,000,000 Scoville Heat Units.  The heat level kicks in immediately and will linger for several minutes, so the Yellow Moruglah should be used sparingly.

At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers such as worm castings and fish emulsion.

Plants are shipped in 3 inch reusable plastics pots and approximately 4 to 6 inches tall.
