A cross between the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion and the 7 Pot Primo, the Yellow 7 Pot Lava is a superhot pepper with a fruity flavor. The taste and heat level of the Yellow 7 Pot Lava pepper is similar to the Yellow 7 Pot and the Yellow 7 Pot Primo, all of which have an extreme heat level and a citrus flavor. The Yellow 7 Pot Lava is not quite as hot as the Red 7 Pot, but it is still considered superhot pepper as it averages about 800,000 to 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). The Yellow 7 Pot Lava pepper was developed by Judy, a pepper grower from Tennessee.
There are several different colored strains of 7 Pot peppers, including the Red 7 Pot, Yellow 7 Pot, White 7 Pot, Chocolate 7 Pot, 7 Pot Brain Strain, and 7 Pot Primo. The 7 Pot pepper is related to the Trinidad Scorpion pepper, one of the hottest peppers in the world.
