A rare member of the Thai pepper family, White Thai peppers have a perfect balance of flavor and heat which makes them a popular pepper for Asian cuisine. White Thai peppers are commonly used in many Thai and Asian dishes and there are also numerous products that use Thai peppers as a main ingredient, including pepper flakes, hot sauces, and marinades. Thai peppers are about 2 to 3 inches in length and mature from white to orangish red. White Thai peppers have a medium heat level as they average about 50,000 to 100,000 Scoville Heat Units, which is hotter than a Cayenne pepper but not as hot as a Habanero pepper. White Thai pepper plants are easily grown in containers, making them an ideal pepper to grow on a balcony, patio or deck. They grow and ripen early and produce all season long.
At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers such as worm castings and fish emulsion. Plants are shipped in 3 inch reusable plastic pots and approximately 4 to 6 inches tall.
