The Sunset Peach CGN 21500 is a flavorful pepper with a hot heat level. The pods look somewhat similar to Peach Habanero peppers, but they have purple streaks around them. The shape of the Sunset Peach pepper is similar to the Honey Fire Habanero. The foliage is a beautiful purple and the plants are high yielding. Like other peppers in the Habanero family, the Sunset Peach pepper has a sweet, fruity flavor, with hints of apple. The peppers originated in Brazil.
The Sunset Peach pepper has not yet been tested, but is believed to have a similar heat level to the Peach Habanero, which ranges from 100,000 to 250,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). The Habanero pepper has several different color strains, including the Orange Habanero, White Habanero, Red Savina Habanero, Caribbean Red Habanero, and Honey Fire Habanero. The Habanero pepper was the first pepper ever grown at Tyler Farms.
