The Red Tiberius Mauler Pepper is a visually striking and intensely spicy pepper that’s quickly gaining popularity because of both its appearance and flavor. Discovered in 2019 by grower Brian Hamilton, this accidental cross emerged from a seed packet labeled "Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion x 7 Pot Primo," and its lineage is reflected in its bold appearance and scorching heat.
With a shape somewhat reminiscent of the 7 Pot Primo and Red Primotalii, the Red Tiberius Mauler features deeply wrinkled, distorted pods that signal its superhot nature. Its blistering heat level makes this pepper a contender among the hottest varieties.
Beneath the fiery punch lies a subtly fruity flavor, adding a unique dimension to hot sauces, powders, and spicy recipes. Although it hasn’t been officially tested, the Red Tiberius Mauler pepper is believed to easily exceed 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units.
