Scoville Heat Units (SHU):
1,000 - 2,500

The Red Cherry Bomb pepper is a small, round pepper variety that is popular for its mild heat and sweet, fruity flavor. The pepper typically grows to be about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and  has a round, cherry-like shape, which is where it gets its name. When fully mature, Cherry Bomb peppers turn a bright red color, and the skin is smooth and glossy. The flesh of the Red Cherry Bomb pepper is sweet and more aromatic than that of the Red Bell pepper.

Cherry Bomb Peppers are known for their mild heat, ranging from 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). This makes them significantly less spicy than many other chili pepper varieties. Despite their mild heat, they offer a pleasant, sweet flavor with a subtle fruitiness, which makes them a popular choice for those who enjoy peppers but prefer a less fiery experience.

Cherry Bomb Peppers are versatile in the kitchen and can be used in various culinary applications. They are often stuffed with cheese or a savory filling and then baked or grilled until tender. They can also  be sliced and added to salads or used as a garnish. Their mild heat and sweet taste make them suitable for pickling or preserving in vinegar.

While the Cherry Bomb Pepper is not as well-known as some other chili varieties, it is appreciated for its unique combination of mild spiciness and sweet, fruity flavor. It's an excellent choice for individuals who want to add a touch of heat to their dishes without overwhelming their taste buds with excessive spiciness. Despite its intimidating name, the Cherry Bomb pepper only has a mild heat level as at averages about 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is similar to the Grande Jalapeno's heat level.

I am a big fan of the sweet but not too spicy peppers and I think I met my match. The red cherry pepper has a great flavor and just a bit of spice. The seeds arrived safely and I got more than I paid for. I will continue to explore new varieties, but this is definitely a good one.
