Created by crossing a Red 7 Pot and Trinidad Scorpion, the Red 7 Pot Scorpion was developed by Steve Bender at Innovation Acre. The peppers are bulbous like 7 Pot peppers, but most pods produce a pointy stinger-like tip at the bottom and the thin skin is smooth like a Trinidad Scorpion. The Red 7 Pot Scorpion's heat level is extremely hot, but its fruity flavor is similar to the Scotch Bonnet. Although the Red 7 Pot Scorpion hasn't officially been tested, it is believed to have a similar heat level at Red 7 Pot, which averages about 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).
