Scoville Heat Units (SHU):
150,000 - 350,000

The Pineapple Habanero, a cross between the White Habanero and the Aji Pineapple, was developed at Innovation Acre by Steve Bender. The pepper has the fiery intensity of a traditional Habanero and a sweet and tangy pineapple tropical flavor. The Pineapple Habanero pepper, which is smaller than traditional Habanero peppers, starts off green and ripens to a light golden-yellow, reminiscent of a ripe pineapple. The pepper starts with the unmistakable heat and citrusy brightness that Habaneros are known for but as the heat begins to build, a delightful wave of tropical sweetness takes over. Although it has not officially been tested, the Pineapple Habanero is believed to average between 150,000 to 350,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU).

The Pineapple Habanero pepper is a game-changer in the culinary world, as it brings an extraordinary combination of spice and sweetness to any dish. Its unique flavor makes it perfect for crafting homemade salsas and hot sauces. It adds a zesty kick to fruit salads, grills beautifully on kebabs, and can even be used to elevate your cocktails or mocktails.

The Habanero pepper has several different color strains, including the Orange HabaneroWhite HabaneroRed Savina HabaneroCaribbean Red Habanero, and Honey Fire Habanero. The Habanero pepper was the first pepper ever grown at Tyler Farms.

If you love habaneros but want something a little different, these are perfect. The fruity sweetness makes them stand out, while the heat is still strong enough to satisfy chili heads.
