The Peach Datil pepper, a cross between the Datil pepper and Peach Habanero, combines the intense heat of a Habanero with the rich, fruity sweetness of the Datil. Developed at Innovation Acre by Steve Bender at Tyler Farms, this pepper starts off green and ripens to peach.
With a heat level that commands attention, the Peach Datil’s flavor profile is where it truly shines—bright citrus notes and a smooth, honey-like sweetness create a complex and delightful taste experience. It’s perfect for crafting gourmet hot sauces and spicy jams, or adding a sweet, fiery kick to marinades and salsas. Although it has not officially been tested, it is estimated to be about 150,000 to 300,000 Scoville Heat Units.
