Developed by Jason Schwarz of Toadstool Gardens, the Orange Ripple pepper is a cross between the Orange Habanero, Yellow Scotch Bonnet, and Carolina Reaper. The heat level of the Orange Ripple is typically about 250,000 to 500,000 Scoville Heat Units, but some of the peppers can exceed that range. It is a stunning pepper that has the Carolina Reaper tail but doesn't have the intense heat of the Carolina Reaper. It is slightly hotter than Scotch Bonnets and Habaneros and can be used in similar recipes, such as on nachos, hot sauces, and salsas because it has a very similar flavor profile.
At Tyler Farms, we grow our plants the old fashioned way: no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and we only use all natural fertilizers such as worm castings and fish emulsion.
Plants are shipped in 3 inch reusable plastics pots and approximately 4 to 6 inches tall.
