The Chocolate Borg 9 is a variation of the Red Borg 9, which was created by crossing the Red Naglah and 7 Pot Bubblgeum. The original Borg 9 was developed by Jon Harper. Harper named the pepper after Ernest Borgnine. It is considered a superhot pepper because of its extreme heat and like other superhot varieties, the Chocolate Borg 9's flavor is fruity and sweet, with a hint of smokiness. Chocolate Borg 9 pods look somewhat like a combination of a 7 Pot, Carolina Reaper, and Chocolate Trinidad Moruga Scorpion all wrapped into one. Although there hasn't been any official testing yet, the Red Borg 9 is likely one of the world's hottest peppers, with some even believing it could compete with the Carolina Reaper, which averages 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units.
