The Chocolate 7 Pot Primo is one of the hottest peppers in the world and one of the newest members of the 7 Pot Primo family. The size, shape, and taste of the Chocolate 7 Pot Primo are similar to that of both the Yellow 7 Pot Primo and Red 7 Pot Primo. Like the original 7 Pot Primo pepper, the Chocolate 7 Pot Primo’s heat level is extremely hot and it has a sweet, fruity flavor. The pepper has thin wrinkly skin with small bumps on the outside. It starts off green and matures to brown. Like other brown varieties, the Chocolate 7 Pot Primo has a fruity flavor with a hint of smokiness.
The Chocolate 7 Pot Primo is slightly hotter than the Red 7 Pot, making it one of the hottest peppers in the world, but not quite as hot as the Carolina Reaper or Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. The Chocolate 7 Pot Primo pepper averages about 1,000,000 to 1,200,000 Scoville Heat Units.
There are several different colored strains of 7 Pot peppers, including the Red 7 Pot, Yellow 7 Pot, White 7 Pot, Chocolate 7 Pot, 7 Pot Brain Strain, and 7 Pot Douglah. The 7 Pot pepper is related to the Trinidad Scorpion pepper, one of the hottest peppers in the world.
