Named after Jalapeno enthusiast and TV personality Billy Hufnagle, the Billy Biker Jalapeno has a slightly hotter heat level compared to the traditional Jalapeno. The Billy Biker Jalapeno is perfect for hot salsa, pickling, or making hot sauce as its medium heat level provides a nice kick that is not overpowering. The plants are high yielding producers of large Billy Biker Jalapenos, which are rated higher on the Scoville Scale than traditional Jalapeno. Billy Biker Jalapenos average about 5,000 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is slightly hotter than the Fresno pepper and very similar to the Irish Shrub pepper.
Billy Biker Jalapenos can be used green or red, but their heat level is spicier when they’re red. Billy Biker Jalapenos reach about 3.5 inches in length. Other Jalapeno varieties we offer include the Mucho Nacho Jalapeno and the Grande Jalapeno.
